PPAR.com
Mailboxes will be
Discontinued: In the months since then, the amount of spam sent to ppar.com has skyrocketed exponentially. Most ppar.com mailboxes are also auto-forwarded to other email addresses. As a result, other ISP's, including AOL, are complaining about the volume of spam email coming from ppar.com mailboxes. Our ISP has threatened to blacklist ppar.com immediately if we do not take steps to curb "spam" email coming from ppar.com. To prevent disruption of email services between ppar.com and other ISP's, certain Spam tests are now activated again on all ppar.com mailboxes. If a message fails to zero out many of these DNS tests, the message will be deleted and not processed. We are not implementing any new keyword checking -- where messages are deleted based upon words or phrases in the email message. Now only 5% of PPAR members currently use the ppar.com mailbox, and most of them forward it to another email account. So in addition to re-implementing certain Spam tests now, PPAR will completely discontinue email service under the ppar.com domain name. Please be advised that as of Wednesday, July 5, 2006, all email addresses at all ppar.com email boxes will be deleted. If you are using a ppar.com email address for your Tempo PPMLS System email, be sure that you delete or change it prior to July 5, 2006. PPAR will continue to communicate with each of our members at your ppar.net email address. The ppar.net mailboxes will continue in their "locked-down" state, where they will only accept email that originates from the PPAR Office Building or the PPMLS Tempo system.
